“nameless”

Nameless was a multichannel experimental video installation created from archival Myspace pages, Midjourney image generation, and Pika video generation reflecting on digital memory, resurrection, and the opioid crisis in America. In 2018, Myspace.com lost over 200TB of files uploaded to the site since it’s creation in 2003. Included in that loss was my late brother’s page, and one of my last places of connection with him after his passing in 2009. His passing was an incredibly formative experience for me, raising questions about gun violence, drug usage, and a larger context of crisis in everyday American life. In the decades following his passing, this manifests itself most legibly in the form of the opioid crisis and is the nexus around which much of my work rotates.
